Safety and privacy

We keep your private information private
We do everything we can to keep your private information really private. When you order tickets from us, we only ask you for the information we need to process your order. Your data is stored in a highly secure environment on a server in the Netherlands. Apart from yourself, only authorized persons within our organization can view your data. We will never share your information with third parties.

We ask for your personal information so that we can help you in the best possible way. You can read what information we ask for and what we use it for below. You can also see what your rights are, who has access to your data and how long we keep your data.

This privacy policy was last amended on May 14, 2018.

+What are the “legal grounds” for using your data?

According to privacy laws, we must say what “legal grounds” we have for using your data. We need information from you because of the contractual agreements between you and Topticketshop, such as your purchase of a

product.

In addition, we can use your data for “legitimate interest”. This means that we want to provide all our customers with the most optimal, personal service. Here, we always think about your privacy. This applies to:

  • Reviews & customer satisfaction survey
  • Contact our customer service
  • Visit to the Topticketshop website
  • Account
  • Newsletter & e-mail
  • Personal advice
  • Actions
  • Social media

The organization can also decide that tickets must be registered. In this case, the necessary information is shared with our supplier. We may also have a legal obligation to use your information, for example when we suspect fraud. And sometimes you have given us permission to use your data, such as when you sign up for the newsletter. We keep track of this properly.

+Who has access to your data?

We will only share your data with other parties if this is really necessary for our services. This concerns these parties: delivery partners, payment partners, IT service providers and parties that collect our reviews. After all, our delivery partner must deliver your order to the correct address. Parties such as data management platforms, media and advertising agencies and research agencies come into the picture as soon as we want to give you personal advice or show you targeted ads, for example based on your interest in certain products. In suspicious situations, we are obliged to share customer data with government agencies

.

The parties that receive access to your data from us may only use it to provide you with a service on behalf of Topticketshop. Unless they are responsible for obtaining and protecting your data themselves. Some cookie developers have access to the information that cookies collect on our website. You can read more about this in our cookie statement and the privacy policies of these parties. We never sell your information to third parties.

+Where is your data stored?

We store your data in various databases. We always use strict security measures. East-west, home is best: that's why your data is almost always stored within the European Union. In the exceptional event that customer data is transferred to countries outside the European Union, we ensure that your privacy remains appropriately protected. This has been officially established for a number of countries. Some US parties have registered under the Privacy Shield, which offers sufficient protection. Or we work with official model contracts that are specifically designed to protect your privacy.

+How long do we keep your data?

We do not store and use your data longer than necessary. After that, we will delete all data that we have about you. Or we use your data anonymously, because we need certain data for internal analyses and reports, such as the value of your order

.

Sounds nice and simple, but how does that work in practice? We maintain certain periods of time, after which we delete your data. Here they are: We delete inactive customer accounts after 7 years. After that period, we only use your data anonymously, for internal reports. The tax authorities require us to keep our records with your billing, payment and order details for 7 years. After that, we only use anonymous data for internal reports. You must also keep the invoices for your purchases carefully yourself, for example when your warranty expires.

If you have subscribed to the newsletter or have given permission to receive personalized messages, we will keep that consent for 5 years. Even if you decide at some point that you no longer want to receive the newsletter or personalized messages, we will keep the withdrawal of your request. We do not keep the e-mails you receive from us for longer than 60 days. So you don't have to worry about getting the same email from us more often. After that period, we only use your data anonymously, for internal reports

. We

keep data that we use to prevent fraud for a long time. Not fun, but necessary.

What are your rights?

Of course, you remain in control of your data. Do you want to get free access to your personal data and receive a copy? Or do you want to change, delete, limit usage, or change your email preferences? No problem. You can do this yourself in your My TopTicketShop account. Or you can let us know by post or email. In this way, you can also object to the use of your data for marketing purposes or indicate that you believe that your privacy outweighs our interest. In that case, we will review the situation again. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is a piece of cake. You can do this in your My TopTicketShop account or via the link at the bottom of the newsletter itself. And do you no longer want cookies at all? You can also arrange that yourself. Read how to do that in our cookie statement. We want to make sure you're really you. That is why we may request additional information from you to determine your identity. We also do this in case of unclear requests

.
