Racoon was fantastic but Paradiso far too full. Racoon was fantastisch maar Paradiso veel te vol.

The band surprised us again with a great show, great how Racoon and frontman Bart in particular are semi-casually having fun with the audience and each other, but performing really well in between. It wasn't Racoon's fault, nor was it about my company or the mood; but Paradiso wasn't normally full. At first, we just found a glimpse when we were on the step at the top, but you barely heard the vocals there. Then we managed to squeeze our way into the room in between. It's just that we really didn't look good. Totally tight. And everyone. The girl in front of me asked if I could take a step back, but I was already standing with my calves against the stairs with someone's stomach against my shoulder blades. I understand that they want to sell as many tickets as possible per performance, but that really came at the cost of the experience here. I don't know if I want to do this again, at the moment I say: I fit. De band heeft ons wederom verrast met een geweldige show, super hoe Racoon en met name frontman Bart semi-nonchalant tussendoor met het publiek en elkaar staat te geinen, maar steengoed optreedt. Aan Racoon lag het niet, aan mijn gezelschap en de stemming ook niet; maar Paradiso was niet-normaal vol. We vonden eerst nog net een doorkijkje als we op de trad zaten bovenin, maar daar hoorde je de zang amper. Toen hebben we ons in de zaal ertussen weten te wurmen. Alleen stonden we echt niet leuk. He-le-maal klem. En iedereen. Meisje vóór mij vroeg of ik een stapje naar achter kon doen, maar ik stond al met mijn kuiten tegen de trap aan met iemands buik tegen mijn schouderbladen. Ik snap wel dat men zoveel mogelijk kaarten verkopen wil per optreden, maar dat ging hier toch echt wel ten koste van de ervaring. Ik weet niet of ik nog wel een keer dit wil doen, op dit moment zeg ik: ik pas.
